Sa loob ng limang buwan na panunungkulan ko bilang SB Member, bilang Committee Chair on Public Health and Sanitation at Committee on Social Welfare, naging aktibo po tayo sa pagsuporta sa mga programa ng ating masipag at butihing Mayor, Hon. Frolibar Bautista.

 Coordinate with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) on health initiatives, disease prevention, and emergency health response.
 Lead public consultations and committee hearings on health-related concerns of constituents.
 Review and recommend budget allocations for health services, medicines, and medical equipment.
 Support implementation of national health programs (e.g., immunization, maternal and child health, nutrition, TB and dengue control).
 Advocate for accessibility of healthcare services, especially for indigent and vulnerable sectors.
 Participate in disaster preparedness and health emergency planning with MDRRMO and health offices.
 Monitor compliance with health and sanitation laws and local health ordinances.
 Endorse partnerships with hospitals, NGOs, and private institutions for health-related projects.

II. Committee on Social Services –

 Draft and sponsor ordinances and resolutions promoting social protection and welfare programs.
 Oversee programs for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), women, children, solo parents, and other marginalized groups.
 Coordinate with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) on service delivery and case management.
 Conduct committee hearings and consultations to address social issues and community concerns.
 Review and recommend funding for social services programs and assistance initiatives.
 Ensure effective implementation of national and local social welfare laws and policies.
 Advocate inclusive policies that promote equal access to social services.
 Support livelihood, education, and capacity-building programs for disadvantaged sectors.
 Monitor distribution of social assistance and ensure transparency and accountability.
 Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, faith-based organizations, and private partners in social service delivery.

A productive consultative meeting was held on November 21, 2025, at the Balabag Session Hall regarding the Proposed Amendment to Municipal Ordinance No. 432, known as the Pet Dog Ownership Ordinance.

The assembly saw active participation from key stakeholders, including Dr. Deyven N. Oriondo, Malay Municipal Vet II and team; Mam Julia Lervik of Veterinary Mission Boracay; PCCI-Boracay President Admin. Mam Djila Winebrenner; and respected Councilors Hon. Ernesto B. Cruz (Manocmanoc), Hon. Marilou S. Sacapano (Balabag), Hon. Liby Bindolo (Balabag), and Hon. Girlie S. Solano (Yapak).

Special thanks to Punong Brgy. Jason Y. Talapian of Balabag for providing the venue.

Attended as Acting Municipal Mayor to deliver a message at the Opening Program of the Executive Design Course (EDC) Training organized by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in partnership with the Office of Civil Defense Region VI, held on November 24–28, 2025 at La Carmela de Boracay.

This training comes as timely as it is, as Malay is currently with ⚠️ due to the ongoing typhoon warning. Our collective efforts to strengthen preparedness, coordination, and rapid decision-making are more important than ever.

Through this capacity-building activity—anchored on the four thematic pillars of RA 10121—we reaffirm our commitment to safety, readiness, and resilience as we prepare our communities for potential impacts.

Participating offices include Malay MPS, BFP, PCG, 2nd ARMFC, Aklan MARPSTA, Philippine Army, MPDO, MDRRMO, MSWDO, MEO, DepEd Malay, MHO, Philippine Red Cross, and the 3 Barangays of Boracay Island.
