“Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard?”
🇹🇭 Jon Jandai, founder of Pun Pun Organic Farm
For the first time in our lives, we had the chance to live and work in an eco-village.
And honestly, we never thought we would survive five straight days eating mostly vegetables. 😂
But kidding aside, this was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
For five days, we experienced a completely different way of living.
🌱 Planting the food that you will eventually eat
🧼 Making your own soap and shampoo
🏠 Learning how to build a house
🌳 Going into the forest to find ingredients for your dinner
🌏 Living and working alongside people from different countries
It made us realize something.
Sometimes, we make life complicated because we have forgotten how simple it can actually be.
We spend so much time chasing convenience, comfort, and things that we think will make us happy.
But here, we were reminded that happiness can also come from growing your own food, creating something with your own hands, sharing a meal with strangers who become friends, and simply being connected to nature.
We're also incredibly honored to meet Jon Jandai and have a short conversation with him. His philosophy and the community he built at Pun Pun Farm are truly inspiring.
Five days may not sound like a long time, but this experience will stay with me for a long time.
To our new friends from Italy, Taiwan, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand, thank you for making these five days even more meaningful. ❤️
And thank you to Volunteer To The World for giving us the opportunity to experience this.
Coco Travel & Tours hope to bring this kind of experience closer to home and do my best to promote meaningful volunteer and eco-tourism programs in the Philippines.
Because we believe travel should be more than just visiting beautiful places.
Travel should change you.
Travel should connect you.
Travel should create an impact.
Cheers to meaningful travel. 🌏
Cheers to impactful tours. 🌱
Cheers to a more purposeful life. ❤️
