NAIA e-GATES NOW OPEN FOR INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURES ✈️✈️🇵🇭🌎

No more Immigration interviews ‼️‼️

Good news to Pinoy travelers, The much-touted e-gates in NAIA terminals 1 and 3 are now on 'soft launch', which means faster processing because it eliminates long lines at the Immigration counters. No more interviews!

But before you starts celebrating, here's the catch - NOT EVERYONE IS QUALIFIED! The e-GATES can only be used by some international travelers.


WHO CAN USE THE NEW DEPARTURE e-GATES:

Filipino Citizens

Frequent Filipino Tourists: Leisure travelers who have traveled internationally before for short-term trips (each trip under 90 days) and have never been repatriated.

Registered OFWs: Overseas Filipino Workers, including land-based employees, seafarers, and vacationing workers returning to their jobs (Balik-Manggagawa).

First-Time Filipino Immigrants: Newly relocating citizens, provided they hold a valid Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) Certificate.

Foreign Nationals

Visa-Free Tourists (EO 408): Foreigners who entered the country visa-free for up to 30 days, as long as they have not extended their stay beyond that initial period.

Balikbayan Program Holders: Foreign passport holders (such as former Filipinos or dual citizens traveling on a foreign passport) who were admitted under the Balikbayan program.

SUMMARY: If you are a Filipino traveler with a clean travel history, an OFW, a first-time immigrant with your CFO certificate, or a short-term foreign tourist who didn't overstay or extend your visa, you can skip the manual lanes and use the e-gates for faster departure clearance.


HOW TO USE e-GATES:

Complete Your eTravel First: Make sure you have already filled out and submitted your eTravel registration before lining up.

Scan Your Passport: Approach an open e-gate lane and place your passport data page face down on the scanner when prompted. (Note: Unlike the arrival gates, you can skip scanning a boarding pass here).

Face the Camera: Look directly into the camera. Ensure your face is completely uncovered by removing hats, face masks, or sunglasses so the system can match you to your passport photo.

Walk Through: Once the facial recognition is successful, just walk on through!

What if it fails? If the gate turns red, fails to read your passport, or doesn't open, don't panic. Proceed directly to the Immigration counters for manual processing.
