📍 What: Battle of the Bands
📌 When: July 31, 2025, 7:00 PM (part of the 28th 📌 Charter Anniversary, July 26 - August 2, 2025)
📌Where: City Public Plaza, Kabankalan City
📌 Eligibility: Open to all ages!
📌 Genres: OPM, RnB, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Fusion (original or cover songs)

Prizes: Up to P30,000 for the Champion, plus special awards for Best Vocalist, Guitarist, Bassist, Keyboardist, and Drummer!

Exciting developments are underway as the City Government of Kabankalan, through the City Tourism, Culture, and the Arts Office, prepares for the grand inauguration of the Tourist Rest Area (TRA) — the first in Negros Occidental!

Soon to operate, the TRA will serve as a central hub for tourists, guests, and travelers from nearby towns and provinces who wish to explore and experience Kabankalan. Whether you’re making a quick stop to rest, looking for local delicacies and pasalubong, enjoying a cup of coffee, cleaned well-maintained restrooms or seeking travel assistance—the TRA is here for you!

A recent site inspection and final checking was conducted to ensure everything is in place for the much-anticipated inauguration. This was made possible through the efforts of the Department of Tourism with, SR TOO Kristoffer Leo M. Velete, SR TOO Arianne Faye H. Balbidades & TOA Johnmark Ciocon.

On behalf of Mayor Benjie Miranda, leading the inauguration team from the City Government are City Administrator Atty. Mac Lord O. Zafra and City Budget Officer Mr. Joemil G. Porol, CPA.
