The Chinese Embassy today released a statement reacting to Secretary Teodoro’s earlier reaction to the Chinese MFA’s comments.

The Chinese Embassy’s response does not contain any answers. Instead, it is full of questions and rhetoric. This is a classic example of evasiveness and a badge of deception. This is in legal practice an implied admission of culpability.

They cannot hide behind their disingenuous misinformation.

New Palawan Lizard Species

A newly described lizard species from Palawan has been named Bronchocela mallarii in honor of Filipino conservationist Dr. Neil Aldrin D. Mallari.

The species, commonly referred to as the Palawan crested lizard, is endemic to Palawan, meaning it is found naturally nowhere else in the world.

Its scientific name recognizes the contributions of a Filipino conservationist whose work has focused on biodiversity and conservation in the Philippines.

Did you know? The reefs surrounding Pag-asa Island lie within the Coral Triangle, one of the most biologically diverse marine regions on Earth.

Resource surveys have recorded approximately 251 fish species from 36 families in the waters just off the island—highlighting the remarkable marine biodiversity that thrives in the waters of the Municipality of Kalayaan.

These reefs are more than natural treasures; they are vital ecosystems that support marine life and the communities that depend on the sea. Their protection is a shared responsibility.

Discover Kalayaan. Appreciate its waters. Protect its marine life.
