Posted and approved fare rates for San Juan Siquijor, officially released and reiterated by Mayor Nanang Ragay’s official page.

These regulated fares help prevent overpricing in the transport and tour sector, ensuring fairness for both locals and visitors. Transparent pricing builds trust, protects the community, and supports sustainable tourism by making Siquijor a destination known for honesty, not exploitation.

Implementing clear, regulated rates like this across other sectors, accommodation, food, beverages and activities, would further strengthen Siquijor’s reputation as a responsible, visitor-friendly island while safeguarding local livelihoods.

Sustainable tourism means fair pricing, transparency and long-term benefits for everyone.

Mayor's message:
To all pedicab and motorela (toktok/baobao) drivers here in the town of San Juan, this is our official fare rate starting from Barangay Poblacion. Please post this inside your pedicab because there will be random checks. If you are caught without posting this or not following the fare rates, you may be fined and your franchise permit may be revoked.
If you are coming from Capilay going to the new municipal hall and health center, please do not charge 80 to 100 pesos, especially since the victim is already a senior citizen. Let this not happen again.
