AirAsia Philippines has achieved a new milestone, ranking as the world's most punctual low-cost airline in July 2026 among low-cost carriers, according OAG, global air travel data provider.

The airline posted a 94.42% OTP, ranking first among 46 low-cost airlines worldwide monitored by OAG for the month.

AirAsia Philippines also landed the 2nd spot globally in terms of punctuality, full-service and low-cost airlines.

“While the global geopolitical crisis and elevated fuel prices have pushed us to make difficult decisions and operational adjustments, our move to optimize our fleet is now yielding tangible benefits. It enabled us to plan our flights, fuel consumption and manage our slot compliance in close coordination with Air Traffic Control. These measures help us minimize disruptions while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across its network.” said AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Anna Victoria Lu.

Cebu Pacific is proud to provide wet lease services to Vietnam Airlines, deploying one of our Airbus A320neo aircraft to support the flag carrier's domestic operations over the coming months.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, the aircraft will be operated by Cebu Pacific's own pilots and cabin crew, serving domestic routes between Ho Chi Minh City and Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc, Vinh, and Da Nang.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced on Wednesday that Filipinos will be granted visa-on-arrival privileges by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting June 25, 2026.

The DFA said eligible travelers are Filipino citizens traveling to the UAE using their Philippine passports and possessing a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by the United States, European Union member states, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Canada, and New Zealand.

Qualified Filipino travelers may avail of a 14-day visa for 100 UAE dirhams, and they can extend their stay for an additional 14 days for AED 250, while the 60-day visa costs 250 UAE dirhams and is not extendable.
