Beginning March 30, 2025 some Philippine Airlines - PAL express and Cebu Pacific flights utilizing turboprop aircraft (Bombardier Q400 & ATR) will transfer from NAIA to Clark International Airport and other secondary airports as part of NAIA's optimization plan.

This move however is expected to affect over 5 million passengers flying to destinations serviced by turboprops of DG, 2R & 2P.

🚨NEVER TIE RIBBONS TO YOUR LUGGAGE

Baggage handlers from the world's busiest airports are telling travelers to stop tying ribbons on their luggage.

Ribbons can cause issues with the bag being scanned in the baggage hall. If the bag can't be scanned automatically, it can end up in manual processing, which could mean your bag doesn't make it to the flight.

Tying a ribbon around your suitcase was once a common method to help travelers easily spot their bags on a crowded carousel, but it's now become less effective over time.

Instead of tying ribbons to your luggage, you can try these methods to make your luggage stand out:

Choose bold colors or patterns
Use a lockable luggage strap and write your last name and flight number on the suitcase
Use bright colored duct tape on the bottom of your luggage or wrap it around a handle or base
Opt for a suitcase in a less common color or design.
