Official Announcement: Mutya ng Upi 2025
After careful deliberation and with the consensus of the organizing committee, candidates, handlers, and our sponsor, we are formally withdrawing the Online Voting component of this year’s pageant.
This decision was made in light of the widespread presence of fake accounts and non-organic reactions detected in the voting process. These issues have compromised the fairness and integrity of the results and placed an undue burden on the committee to verify the authenticity of votes. As we hold ourselves to a standard of transparency and integrity, we cannot in good faith proceed with results that may not reflect genuine public support.
Instead, our sponsor UPI 168 has been requested to personally select the recipient of the Sponsor’s Choice Award, based on their own values and judgment. This alternative ensures that the award remains meaningful and aligned with the spirit of the pageant.
🔹 We wish to stress that this adjustment applies only to the special award and does not affect the judges' independent decisions for the main titles. All major awards will be determined exclusively by our panel of judges, based on performance, personality, and merit.
We sincerely acknowledge and appreciate the effort that each candidate has put into promoting themselves, and we commend their supporters for their time, energy, and overwhelming enthusiasm. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and it speaks volumes about the love and pride you hold for your candidates.
This experience is a valuable reminder of the importance of fairness in every aspect of the competition. As we move forward, we commit to continuously improving our processes and hope that digital tools will be used more responsibly in the future—for a fairer, more authentic, and honorable celebration of Upi’s finest.
