جھگیاں کوالیاں یونین کونسل باغ میں صدی بدل گئی، مگر حالات نہ بدلے!
عوام آج بھی بنیادی سہولیات کو ترس رہے ہیں، وعدے وفا ہوں گے یا پھر یہ بھی صرف انتخابی نعرے تھے؟

یونین کونسل باغ کی معروف بستی جھگیاں کوالیاں 21ویں صدی کے جدید دور میں بھی بنیادی سہولیات سے محروم ہے۔ علاقے میں نہ پکی سڑکوں کی سہولت موجود ہے، نہ ہی صاف پانی کی فراہمی کا کوئی قابل ذکر نظام۔ تعلیمی میدان میں بھی صورتحال انتہائی افسوسناک ہے – نہ لڑکوں کے لیے مڈل اسکول دستیاب ہے، نہ بچیوں کے لیے تعلیمی سہولیات موجود ہیں۔ صحت کی بات کی جائے تو بنیادی مراکز بھی عوام کی پہنچ سے دور ہیں، جس کے باعث بیمار افراد کو میلوں کا سفر طے کر کے شہر کا رخ کرنا پڑتا ہے۔

عوامی نمائندوں سے امیدیں لگائے بیٹھے اہلیانِ جھگیاں اب سوال کر رہے ہیں:
کیا ایم این اے علی اصغر خان اور ایم پی اے رجب عباسی الیکشن میں کیے گئے وعدوں کو وفا کریں گے یا یہ وعدے بھی ماضی کے سیاہ باب بن جائیں گے؟

اس حوالے سے وی سی جھگیاں کوالیاں محد فریدوںن نے میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ:

> “ہمارا علاقہ اس جدید دور میں بھی پتھر کے زمانے کی تصویر پیش کر رہا ہے۔ عوام کی مشکلات روز بروز بڑھ رہی ہیں، جبکہ ہمارے منتخب نمائندے خاموش تماشائی بنے بیٹھے ہیں۔ ہم مطالبہ کرتے ہیں کہ علی اصغر خان اور رجب عباسی الیکشن میں کیے گئے وعدوں کو پورا کریں، تاکہ جھگیاں کوالیاں کو ترقی کے سفر پر گامزن کیا جا سکے۔”

علاقہ مکینوں نے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ سڑکوں کی تعمیر، صاف پانی کی فراہمی، تعلیم اور صحت کے شعبوں میں فوری اقدامات کیے جائیں تاکہ یہ محروم بستی بھی ترقی کی دوڑ میں شامل ہو سکے۔ عوام کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر ان کے مسائل حل نہ کیے گئے تو آنے والے انتخابات میں وہ اپنے ووٹ کی طاقت سے جواب دیں گے۔

برلن میں بین الاقوامی سیاحتی نمائش: پاکستان کے سیاحتی مقامات کی بھرپور نمائندگی

برلن: جرمنی کے دارالحکومت برلن میں بین الاقوامی سیاحتی نمائش کا آغاز ہو گیا، جس میں دنیا بھر کے 170 سے زائد ممالک نے اپنے سیاحتی مقامات اور ثقافتی ورثے کو عالمی سطح پر اجاگر کیا۔

یہ نمائش 4 مارچ کو شروع ہوئی اور 6 مارچ تک جاری رہے گی، جس میں پاکستان نے بھی بھرپور انداز میں اپنی سیاحتی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ پاکستان کے پویلین میں ملک کے خوبصورت قدرتی مناظر، تاریخی مقامات، اور سیاحت کے فروغ کے لیے اٹھائے گئے اقدامات کو نمایاں کیا گیا، جس نے شرکاء کی بھرپور توجہ حاصل کی۔

اس موقع پر پاکستان کی سفیر محترمہ سیدہ ثقلین نے پاکستان ہاؤس میں پاکستانی ٹور آپریٹرز کے اعزاز میں ایک خصوصی عشائیے کا اہتمام کیا۔ اس تقریب میں سیاحتی صنعت سے وابستہ نمایاں شخصیات شریک ہوئیں، جن میں ہمارے معزز دوست احتشام علی بھی شامل تھے۔

یہ نمائش عالمی سیاحت کے فروغ میں اہم سنگ میل ثابت ہو رہی ہے، جہاں مختلف ممالک اپنی سیاحتی انڈسٹری کو ترقی دینے کے لیے مشترکہ حکمت عملیوں پر غور کر رہے ہیں۔

The Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium is in its final stages of completion, featuring state-of-the-art facilities that meet international standards. With recent renovations and expansions, the stadium is now ready to host world-class cricket events.

Dagar Bungalow and Its Trails

Dagar Bungalow is a historic British-era structure nestled in the lush forests of Nathia Gali. Built in the 18th century, this Victorian-style architectural gem has stood the test of time. Unfortunately, one of its walls was damaged in the 2005 earthquake, and despite its historical significance, it has never been restored. The bungalow is now in a dilapidated state, unfit for habitation. We urge the Forest Department, Archaeology Department, Tourism Department, Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), and Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to take immediate steps for its restoration and preservation.

Dagar Bungalow Trek – A Paradise for Hikers and Nature Lovers

The trek to Dagar Bungalow is considered one of the most scenic forest trails in Pakistan. Multiple routes lead to this breathtaking destination, each offering a unique hiking experience:

1. Nathia Gali (Namli Gali) – Miranjani – Dagar Bungalow Trail

This is the most popular and frequently used route. Starting from Namli Gali in Nathia Gali, the trail passes near Miranjani Peak before leading to Dagar Bungalow. The four-kilometer ascent to Miranjani can be challenging for beginners, but the path beyond Miranjani is relatively easy and straightforward. The total trail length is 13.5 kilometers.

2. Biran Gali – Dagar Bungalow Trail

This is another spectacular forest trail, stretching approximately 15 kilometers. It takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach Dagar Bungalow from Biran Gali. Along this route, about three kilometers before Dagar Bungalow, hikers come across two stunning meadows known as Dera Lal Khan (Biran Meadows). On clear days, these meadows offer panoramic views of Nanga Parbat, Sarwali Peak, Kaghan Valley’s Malika Parbat, Musa Ka Musalla, Charkot Peak, and even the snow-covered peaks of the Pir Panjal range in Kashmir.

For adventure enthusiasts, an extended trek from Nathia Gali to Miranjani – Dagar Bungalow – Biran Gali – Thandiani is an absolute delight. The total length of this trail is approximately 38 to 40 kilometers.

3. Katli Village – Dagar Bungalow Trail (Shortest but Challenging)

This is the shortest yet most demanding trail. It starts from Katli Village, a picturesque settlement in Union Council Phalkot, which is about an hour’s drive from Abbottabad. The trail from Katli to Dagar Bungalow is only 5 kilometers long. The initial half follows a mountain path, while the latter half runs alongside a rocky stream. During summers, the trail is adorned with natural waterfalls and streams, offering a refreshing hiking experience.

Other Less-Known Trails to Dagar Bungalow

Besides these three major routes, several other trails are frequently used by locals:

1. Jandar Bari Village Trail

2. Khanwala Trail

3. Namli Waterfall Trail

4. Karli Village Trail

Karli Village Trail

This trail originates from Karli Village (Union Council Namli) and merges with the Biran Gali Trail near Dera Lal Khan Meadows. It covers a distance of 10 to 12 kilometers and is primarily used by locals.

Khanwala Trail

The Khanwala Trail starts five kilometers ahead of Miranjani Base, on the right side of the road near T**a and Retri. The Retri Trail bypasses Miranjani, leading directly to Dagar Bungalow via Lamba Dana or Kona Dana Meadows. This route reduces the total distance by approximately 4.5 kilometers, making the total trek only 9 kilometers long. The first 3 kilometers are steep and challenging, while the remaining 6 kilometers are relatively easy and level.
