Winter sports in Kalash valleys (Kirik Gal' or C'hikik Gal') snow golf competition continues, snow doubled the beauty of the valley.
The heavy snowfall has made the people of Chitral suffer from various difficulties and on the other hand, the young people of Kalash Valley have warmed up the negative side of the valley by starting competitions with traditional snow golf (Kirik Gal') on the snow on the daily basis.
Snow Golf competitions taking place in sub three Kalasha valleys and the youngsters have been busy in Kirik Gal' from morning to evening. It's become a good activity to beat the snow and cold. Winter snowfall in the Kalasha Valley.
In which men and women participate with great enthusiasm and interest to cheer on their village team. The sport continues until the snow melts.
Kalash Valley is echoing with the voices of praise to the whistle the players in the Bumburet Kirik gal' While the white sheet of snow has made the views of the lands, houses ,forests and mountains very Charming.
I heard from people that Kirik Gal' is actually a game of Kati people of Nooristan. Which was transferred centuries ago from Nooristan and it became a popular game among the residents of Kalasha valley. Now, the people of all the tribes residing in the Kalash valleys play this game together after snowfall.
