The abandoned trail of Bumburait Kelash Valley.

There’s a beautiful trail starting from Ayun that takes you through the lush Gocharkuh Forest and leads you down into Bumburait, one of the stunning Kalash valleys. It’s about a 4-hour walk, a bit steep as you approach the top, followed by a gentle and rewarding descent into the valley.

Instead of taking the usual road by car, this moderate and scenic trek is a great option. You can also consider pony trekking, which adds to the overall experience.

Thui – Ghamubar – Darkut Pass Trek | 10–12 Days Expedition

An epic high-altitude journey through the heart of the Hindu Kush, crossing three legendary mountain passes and linking remote valleys of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Starting from the wild landscapes of Yarkhun Valley (Gazin), the trail ascends through glaciers, alpine camps, and vast high pastures to cross Thui Pass (4,500 m) — a demanding yet rewarding gateway into untouched mountain terrain. From here, the route continues toward the rarely crossed Ghamubar Pass, surrounded by dramatic ridgelines and silent wilderness.

The expedition reaches its grand finale at Darkut Pass (≈4,700 m), an ancient trade route connecting Broghil Valley with Yasin / Ghizer, offering breathtaking views of glaciers, snowbound peaks, and endless horizons.

Over 10–12 days, trekkers experience remote camps, glacier crossings, high-altitude solitude, and landscapes few ever witness — a true expedition for seasoned trekkers seeking raw adventure beyond commercial routes.

This Kalash Valleys Circuit Trip is a rare walk through three valleys where centuries-old customs are lived quietly within the rhythm of daily life.
The trail rises gently from forested valleys to high mountain passes of the Hindu Kush, linking Birir, Bumboret, and Rumbur, with few nights spent in forested camps under open skies.

Beyond the landscapes, this journey is about time spent with the Kalash people — observing daily life, seasonal rhythms, colors, music, and stories that have survived centuries in isolation. Long walking days are balanced with slow moments: photography, village exploration, shared meals, and cultural exchanges that leave a lasting imprint.

Weekend hike to .

Chitral Gol has always been close to my heart.
It offers a level of solitude and silence that few places do, despite being so accessible. You can reach it either by vehicle or on foot. A clear, beautiful trail winds through the mountains and eventually opens onto a wide alpine meadow called Birmoghlasht. In Khowar, Birmogh means walnut and Lasht means plain.

Birmoghlasht was once the summer retreat of the Mehtar of Chitral. His Highness Shuja ul-Mulk built a small summer fort here. Today, the area lies within Chitral Gol National Park, established in 1982, where Pakistan’s national animal, the markhor, roams freely.

Terich Mir Base Camp Trek 2026 (July) takes you deep into the remote Hindukush, to the foot of its highest peak, Terich Mir (7,708 m). Starting from Terich–Shagrom, the last human settlement, the trail moves through fertile valleys, summer pastures, and birch forests before entering the dramatic world of glaciers and moraine. The trek reaches Babu Camp (4,700 m), surrounded by towering giants including Noshaq (7,492 m) and Istor-o-Nal (7,403 m), along with the vast, crevassed Terich Glacier. A journey into raw wilderness where silence, scale, and solitude define the experience.

Broghil Valley, locally known as Boroghol, is a remote Wakhi-inhabited land near the Wakhan Corridor, at the far edge of Chitral. Vast grasslands unfold into high-altitude lakes and glaciers, framed by silent mountains that feel untouched by time. Life here moves to a different rhythm, shaped by altitude, seasons, and the deep-rooted Wakhi culture.

This is not just a journey—it is a Yatra,
a passage into stillness, distance, and reflection. A place where landscapes humble you and silence speaks louder than words.

RahiCo Adventure announces its first mega journey to this surreal wonderland.
Mark your calendar for this once in a life experience.

After our Mountain Series, we’re continuing the journey with the second chapter of .
This time, we’re focusing on lakes, one of the most visited yet least understood geographical landmarks. From glacial basins to tectonic depressions, lakes tell powerful stories about climate, landscapes, and human interaction.
Before visiting them, it’s important to understand how they form, why they exist, and how fragile they are.
