کٹورا لیک خیبرپختونخوا کے ضلع اپر دیر میں واقع ہے، جو کہ کمراٹ ویلی کے مشہور مقام جہاز بانڈہ کے اوپر بلندی پر واقع ایک خوبصورت گلیشیائی جھیل ہے۔ یہ جھیل سطح سمندر سے تقریباً 11,500 فٹ (3,500 میٹر) کی بلندی پر ہے اور اس کی شکل ایک کٹورے جیسی ہے، اسی لیے اسے "کٹورا لیک" کہا جاتا ہے۔
اس جھیل تک پہنچنے کے لیے سب سے پہلے دیر یا کمراٹ کے راستے تھل بازار جانا ہوتا ہے، جہاں سے فور بائی فور جیپ کے ذریعے تقریباً 16 کلومیٹر کا سفر طے کر کے ٹکی بانڈہ پہنچا جاتا ہے۔ وہاں سے جہاز بانڈہ کا پیدل سفر شروع ہوتا ہے، جو 3 سے 4 گھنٹے کا ہے۔ جہاز بانڈہ سے کٹورا لیک کا ٹریک مزید 3 سے 4 گھنٹے پر مشتمل ہوتا ہے اور راستہ پتھریلا، ڈھلوان اور دشوار گزار ہوتا ہے۔
جہاز بانڈہ میں قیام کے لیے لکڑی کے کمروں یا خیموں کی سہولت دستیاب ہوتی ہے۔ بجلی نہیں ہوتی، البتہ بعض جگہوں پر سولر پینل سے روشنی کا انتظام کیا گیا ہے۔ موبائل سگنل محدود ہوتے ہیں اور کٹورا لیک پر مکمل طور پر بند ہو جاتے ہیں۔ کھانے پینے کے لیے چند مقامی دکانیں موجود ہوتی ہیں جہاں دال، چاول اور چائے مل جاتی ہے، مگر بہتر ہے کہ اپنی ضروری اشیاء ساتھ لے جائی جائیں۔
کٹورا لیک جون سے ستمبر کے درمیان قابلِ رسائی ہوتی ہے، جبکہ باقی مہینوں میں برفباری کی وجہ سے راستے بند ہو جاتے ہیں۔ یہ جھیل اپنے نیلگوں پانی، اردگرد برف سے ڈھکی پہاڑیوں اور مکمل سکون کی فضا کے باعث سیاحوں کو بہت متاثر کرتی ہے۔ یہ مقام خاص طور پر قدرتی نظاروں اور ٹریکنگ کے شوقین افراد کے لیے موزوں ہے۔
