Takht Bahi Mardan Documentary | UNESCO Buddhist Heritage | Sacred Journeys of Pakistan
Step into the ancient world of Gandhara civilization with Sacred Journeys of Pakistan as we explore the breathtaking ruins of Takht Bahi, Mardan — a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stands as one of the most well-preserved Buddhist monastic complexes in the region.
This one-day educational and cultural trip, held on 12 April 2026, was organized by Religious & Cultural Tourism to promote historical awareness, cultural appreciation, and interfaith harmony among the youth.
Perched on a hilltop, Takht Bahi offers a unique glimpse into centuries-old Buddhist monastic life. From its intricate architectural layout to its spiritual ambiance, every corner of this site reflects the rich and diverse heritage of Pakistan.
Through this documentary, we aim to highlight the importance of preserving such historical treasures while inspiring the younger generation to reconnect with their cultural roots and shared history.
