In an effort to promote tourism, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced extra flights to the northern areas.
From May 18, two-way flights from Islamabad to Chitral will be included in the operation, and more flights will be added to cater to the northern regions, said a spokesperson for PIA.

The spokesperson further said that PIA will initiate two-way flights from Dubai to Skardu on April 9. These flights will run on Fridays, and return flights to Dubai will be available on Sundays.

The most important festival is the Chaomus, celebrated for a long two weeks at the winter solstice from December 7th – 22nd. To end the fieldwork and harvest season, the Chaomus Festival celebrates by involving Music, Dancing, and Goats Slaughtered for a Great Feast. This sacred event only allows exclusive people who are deemed pure and initiated.
