Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistanās fight against terrorism will continue with full resolve until lasting peace and stability are achieved across the country.
He made these remarks while addressing an investiture ceremony held at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the ceremony, military awards were conferred upon distinguished officers and soldiers in recognition of their bravery in operations and meritorious service. The awards included 50 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-i-Basalat, while posthumous medals were received by the families of martyrs.
Field Marshal Munir paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans, calling them the āpride of the nationā and emphasizing that Pakistanās peace and security are built on their sacrifices.
He also appreciated the resilience and dignity of the families of Shuhada, acknowledging their continued contribution and sacrifices for the country.
