The Hushe Valley is known for some of the highest mountains in Pakistan, including several peaks above 6,000 meters, and even 8,000 meters. From Laila Peak, K6, K7 mountain, and to Masherbrum (K1) at 7,821 meters, Gasherbrum I (K5) at 8,080 meters, Gasherbrum II (K4) at 8,035 meters.
Ice-cream peak is newly discovered peak in the valley.

Shandur Polo Festival is a sports festival held annually from 7 to 9 July in the Shandur Top in Pakistan. The polo tournament is played between the teams of Gilgit-Baltistan Districts and Chitral District, under freestyle rules.
The tournament is held at Shandur Top which is the world highest polo ground at an altitude of 3,700 meters (the pass itself is at 3,800 meters). The festival also includes folk music, dancing and a camping village is set up.

🏔️Nanga Parbat Update 🏔️

4 Pakistani mountaineers have successfully scaled Nanga Parbat ❤️

Sajid Sidpara and Shah Daulat successfully summited Mt. Nanga Parbat (8126m) this morning without supplemental oxygen.

Yusuf Ali hails from Hushay and has previously helmed G2, K2 and Broad Peak.

Imtiaz Ali Sadpara and Yusuf Ali have also successfully climbed Mount Nanga this morning.

Skardu serves as the capital of Skardu District and the Baltistan Division. It is situated at an elevation of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet) in the Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers. The city is an important gateway to the eight-thousanders of the nearby Karakoram mountain range.

The solution to the issues of environmental sustainability is the need of the hour. The way out to this problem is to implement eco-tourism. Eco-tourism is about the conservation of resources and minimizing the impact on the environment while traveling. Everyone should participate in conserving and protecting the environment while on a tour. Tourism and the environment can co-exist if certain practices are followed. Ecological awareness is also a necessary step towards eco-tourism. Efficient management and proper planning with the help of strict legislation can help to ensure this.

Sajid Ali Sadpara, son of legendary mountaineer Mohammad Ali Sadpara, plans to summit 'Mount Everest in Nepal without supplemental oxygen on May 20'. His ultimate goal is to climb all 14 eight-thousanders 'without the aid of supplemental oxygen,' a feat 'no Pakistani has ever achieved'. He aims to 'honor his late father's memory' and raise the Pakistani flag on the world's highest mountains.

The beginning of blossom signals the end of chilly winter weather in Whole, Khaplu valley, Skardu valley and in the other parts of Gilgit-Baltistan which means spring is arrived. Blossom season (spring) starts from the mid-March and ends by the last week of April. Cherry blossom viewing began in ancient times when aristocrats wrote poetry and sang songs under the flowering trees of Cherry. Many tourists from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries around the world come to see Cherry blossom in Pakistan every year. Tourists from all over Pakistan and around the globe enjoy the scenic beauty of the blossom season and colourful blossom in the northern areas of Pakistan.

In order to fill the gap of trained tour guides and to provide opportunity to unemployed young people to get jobs in the field of tour operation, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in collaboration with Department of Tourist Services (DTS), Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP), College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) and Pakistan Association of Tour Operators (PATO) is organizing a series of tour guides training workshops under the National Tour Guide Training Program.

The first two weeks extensive Tour Guides Training Program is scheduled to be held in Islamabad from 18 to 31 March 2023.

Sailing Valley Khaplu is a beautiful valley in the Ghanche District, Khaplu Gilgit-Baltistan. Saling is a doorway to Hushe Valley as well as a very nice camping spot just beside a lake. On the other side is a marvellous view of Khaplu Town.
There is a wonderful fish farm in Saling that offers delicious fish feasts. That is also a picnic point in Sailing valley. Many springs are also present on the fish farm, alongside all these just of the 15 to 20 minutes walk there are rock carvings at the mountains and stones during the era of Buddhism.
We can trace back the Buddhist presence in this region back in the 6th to 7th centuries in history of Baltistan. Buddha rock Manthal Skardu, Karga Gilgit, and some crafting of Buddha in Khaplu and Shigar valley as well.

I ve always thought that Glacier grafting was a myth. Its glad to know that University Of Baltistan Skardu is working on preserving the process of glacier grafting.

It can be a true revolution if it really works. And I am happy that Akrsp G B C has already grafted glaciars by trusting the indeginous knowledge in many parts of baltistan.

But more research needs to be done in this area.
