Babusar Naran Road reopens for traffic

Divisional Commissioner Diamer-Astore Division, Faisal Ehsan Pirzada, announced that the Babusar Naran Road has been reopened for all types of traffic after being closed for six months due to snowfall. The road will remain open from 5 AM to 5 PM.

According to the announcement, camps will be set up at various locations in the Babusar Top area, where police and local volunteers will perform security duties. Mobile patrols will also be maintained.

Deputy Commissioner of Diamer, Fiaz Ahmad Khan, advised that heavy gear should be used while descending and brake discs should be kept cool to prevent accidents.

ایوبیہ نیشنل پارک میں 129 برس پرانی کچرے اور مٹی میں دبی سرنگ کو اصل حالت میں اکتوبر 2020ء کو بحال کرکے سیاحوں کے لیے کھول دیا گیا۔ اس زیر زمین سرنگ کی تعمیر 1891 میں ایوبیہ اور خیرا گلی،مری کے درمیان کی گئی تھی جو طویل عرصہ سے بند پڑی تھی۔وزارت موسمیاتی تبدیلی اور محکمہ جنگلی حیات نے ایوبیہ نیشنل پارک میں دبی ہوئی سرنگ دریافت کی جس میں قدیم دور کی نقش و نگاری آج بھی موجود ہے۔ یہ سرنگ قدیم فن تعمیر کا شاہکار ہے جسے اصل حالت میں بحال کرنے کے لیے مرمت کا کام کیا گیا۔ مٹی اور پتھروں سے بنی 240 فٹ موٹو ٹنل کی چوڑائی 4 فٹ اور اونچائی 6 فٹ ہے۔واضح رہے کہ ڈونگا گلی سے ایوبیہ تک ٹریک کی لمبائی 4 کلو میٹر ہے جبکہ ایوبیہ سے کوزہ گلی تک پیدل ٹریک کی لمبائی 10 کلو میٹر ہے۔یہ سرنگ انگریز دور کی تعمیر کا شاہکار ہے۔
