A good friend of mine and one of Pakistan’s national climbing heroes has gone missing on five days ago.

As searches continue in hopes of finding the three missing climbers, hopes of finding them alive have slowly started to fade.

The mountain has it ways, its tempers, its good and bad days. It always opens its arms to you, but never promises to let you go. High altitude climbing is a sport very few comprehend. Only those who’ve lived it, understand why we keep on going back for more. One can only fully embrace the if they’ve accepted the risk and responsibility that accompanies it.
