Khanpur Dam is a dam located on the Haro River near Potowar Plateau, about 50 km from Islamabad, in Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It forms Khanpur Lake, a reservoir which supplies drinking water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi and irrigation water to many of the agricultural and industrial areas surrounding the cities.
The dam was completed in 1983 after a 15-year construction period at a cost of ₨1,385.1 million. It is 51 m (167 ft) high and stores 79,980 acre feet (98,650,000 m3) of water.
Mabali Island for many is nothing less than a hidden paradise located in the Khanpur Dam. At Mabali Island, they had provided such exceptional services from the beginning of the journey till the very end; blending nature based livings (i.e huts and caravans) which are a great opportunity to experience nature in luxury, the exclusive view of Khanpur Lake, the beautiful mountains, greenery, the truly peaceful and restful stay experience, the sense of privacy, the safety, the amazing views of sunrise and sunsets. YOU ALL HAVE TO UNDERTAKE THAT:
1) I have not brought any narcotics and drugs i.e. sh**ha, w**d, vine or other related item. If still found in my custody, team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS has the authority to cancel my registration at the moment. Also, if Police or other law enforcement agencies find any of illegal drugs in my possession, I alone will be responsible and team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS will not be liable to answer on my place. Also team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS will not refund money for that matter.
2) I will not physically or verbally harm any other fellow traveler during the journey and at the venue throughout the tour. Infect, I’ll inform any of the official team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS members (mentioned on the bottom of page with contact numbers) or my bus coordinator.
3) I’ll not humiliate/ harass any same or opposite gender traveler though out the tour. If I do so, team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS can take any action to control the situation.
4) I have not brought any unofficial arm along. If found during checking by police, I alone will be responsible for that and answerable to Police.
5) I let team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS take control of the situation if any disturbance occurs throughout the tour.
6) Team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS will not be responsible if we reach on the destination or back home late due to traffic, road, trek or regular journey issues.
7) I myself am responsible for the weather conditions and I have brought related clothing with the related luggage along as I’ve researched upon the weather conditions of the destination we’re heading.
8) Team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS will not be responsible for any natural or mechanical issue e.g., Land sliding, accident, robbery or other related events.
9) I will not mock or abuse team MOUNTHIKE ADVENTURERS if my/ my group’s belongings have been stolen or found with some other traveler. I’ll just take the issue to the organizing team.
