Department of Archaeology, Tourism and Hotel Management, University of Peshawar in collaboration with the Directorate General of Archaeology & Museums, KP and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority organised a one day trip to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Takht-i-Bahi, Mardan.

The event titled “Night Steps Through History: Whispers of Gandhara (Chapter 3)” was organized to celebrate 75 years of the University of Peshawar, World Archaeology Day and the region’s rich cultural heritage.

Participants had the chance to wander through the ancient monastic ruins of Takht-i-Bahi as the site came alive under beautiful illumination, followed by a Cultural Night filled with traditional music, performances and the region’s famous Chapli Kabab dinner.

The department extends heartfelt gratitude to KPCTA and Directorate General of Archaeology and Museums, KP for their continued collaboration and efforts in promoting heritage education and cultural tourism.
