So Why do we love mountains??
It’s still a mystery I guess, yet to be unraveled
Well, I believe that people who love mountains are a unique group who share some interestingly common traits
They welcome discomfort . They would trek thousands of miles, bear all the pain, hurdles that come their way just to find themselves in the cradle of these gigantic mountains. It's what gets them up in the middle of the night to set out; to puff and sweat, suffer headaches, burn their skin, knock their knees, and even risk their lives. Despite all these physical stresses, their minds are always at ease because they find mountains extremely therapeutic!
They would happily step outside the comfort of their homes because they actually “ suffer” when AWAY from mountains and somehow feel disconnected in their routine lives. They feel and believe that their souls are dancing in the wild and would ,therefore , always answer the calling.
Witnessing these mountains always leave them in awe of its stupendous beauty! In fact, research finds that awe makes us more generous and even appears to reduce stress more than other positive emotions do . Interesting!…. Isn’t it??
Loving mountains go beyond wanting to just vacation in them. To them, mountains are a somatic and psychological escape from dross and mundane, an escape from their monotonous, robotic and screen filled lives.
They never get used to seeing the beauty of these mountains and everytime they go there they would explore a new ,different and a unique aspect of their beauty .
These people believe that their immense love for mountains would never be completely understood by the others outside their circle but that doesn’t bother them a bit because their love doesn’t need any validation or reminders!
And trust me… you might think they are physically spending time with u but to be honest… they are STILL out their in the wilderness enriching their souls!
