I was ready to leave.

Tent packed. Trek done. Time to head back.

Then Thallay La decided to drop a rainbow like:

“Wait bro, you’re leaving already?” 😭🌈

This is why I keep coming back to the Karakoram.

It’s not only the 4,830m pass, the trails, or the camping. It’s these random moments you never plan for.

One minute you’re exhausted and thinking about a shower.

Next minute you’re standing in front of a rainbow thinking,
“Okay… maybe one more night.” 😂

If you’ve ever trekked somewhere and struggled to leave, you know exactly what I mean.

Just you sitting beside me, watching the mountains turn golden, drinking chai with a local family, walking through old villages, and asking me, “How is this place real?”

This is Baltistan, my home.
