Shagarthang, Satqchan Valley
This valley is one of the best and beautiful valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan. This valley is located in skardu about 25 km (distance) from Shangri-La Kachura. There is a jeep road from Kachura to this valley. 4×4 vehicles take tourists to this valley. The special thing about this valley is that no stone, cement etc is used in any construction here. All the houses/mosques/cattle sheds in this valley are made of wood only. Various beautiful places can be seen on the way from Kachura Shangri-la to this valley. Which include souq Valley, Choli Chan Waterfall, Biangshoor, Flansar Spring and Staq Chan Valley. There are about 150 families in this valley. Natural animals such as Brown Marmot, Himalayan Ibex, Chakor, Ram Chakor etc can be seen closely in this valley and Brown Bear is also present in distant streams and precious stones can also be extracted from nearby areas in the mountains. If this area is explored, it will emerge as the most beautiful tourist point after Shangri-La/Kachura. From this valley originates a track Astor, a Deosai and an Ali Malik top. The special thing about this area is that the chain of three mountains starts here and the junction of three rivers is also present here. Along with Explore, there is also the need to repair the access road and establish a hotel in the valley. If there are constructions of hotels in this area, tourists go here very easily.
