گلگت بلتستان میں ہر سال مارچ کے آخر میں چیری اور خوبانی کے پھول کھلنے لگتے ہیں۔ ان پھولوں کی وجہ سے درخت گلابی اور سفید رنگوں سے ڈھک جاتے ہیں، اور پوری وادی کا ایک دلکش منظر سامنے آتا ہے۔ یہ موسم مقامی لوگوں کے لیے موسم بہار کی شروعات کی علامت بھی ہے، کیونکہ انہی پھولوں سے آنے والی پھلوں کی فصل کی امید وابستہ ہوتی ہے۔
بلند و بالا پہاڑ، خوبصورت گلیشیئرز اور جھیلیں اس خطے کو سیاحوں کے لیے خاص طور پر پُرکشش بناتی ہیں۔ چیری اور خوبانی کے پھول ہی وہ خصوصیات ہیں جو گلگت بلتستان کو پاکستان کے دیگر علاقوں سے منفرد بناتی ہیں۔ اسی وجہ سے ملک بھر اور بیرونِ ممالک سے لوگ ہر سال اس حسین موسم کا نظارہ کرنے کے لیے گلگت بلتستان کا رخ کرتے ہیں۔
