🌟 The Legend of the Wawel Dragon 🐉 🌟

Did you know that a dragon once lived on Wawel Hill? According to the legend, the dragon lived in a cave under the castle and terrorized the people of Krakow until one day, a clever shoemaker named Skuba tricked him by giving him a sheep filled with sulfur. After the dragon drank water from the Vistula River, he burst from the excess water, freeing the city from fear!

Today, the Wawel Dragon is one of the symbols of Krakow, and its statue proudly stands by the riverbank, breathing fire every few minutes 🔥 It's a must-see spot during your walk around the city!

The Juliusz Słowacki Theatre building in Krakow is our favorite. Its stunning architecture, inspired by the Parisian Palais Garnier, makes it one of the most beautiful theaters in Europe. Built in 1893, it is a perfect example of eclectic style, combining elements of Baroque and Renaissance architecture. The richly decorated façade, full of sculptures and ornaments, gives it a monumental character. Inside, the theater, with its beautifully adorned auditorium, is renowned for its excellent acoustics and unique atmosphere that transports visitors back in time. It’s a true gem of Krakow.

Do you know the legend of the towers of St. Mary's Church? 🌆

The story goes that two brothers were building the towers of this iconic Krakow church. When the younger brother saw that his tower was shorter, jealousy took over, and he killed his older brother. Consumed by guilt, he later took his own life. To this day, the towers stand uneven, symbolizing this tragic tale.
