It recovers LGBTQ+ and sexually/gender-diverse histories while using q***r, decolonial and critical heritage frameworks to examine how colonial power organized bodies, identities, morality, space and belonging.

It’s an LGBTQ-centered tour, but you don’t need to identify as LGBTQ+ to take it. It’s an inclusive cultural experience where everybody is welcome.

Q***r here means more than LGBTQ+ identity.

The tour explores documented LGBTQ+ histories while also using q***r as a critical lens to examine how colonial San Juan shaped ideas about gender, sexuality, morality, belonging and who was allowed to occupy public space.
