Sometimes, the universe truly aligns in our favor, and today was one of those unforgettable moments. While guiding a delightful couple from the Netherlands on our Roadtrip to La Parguera with Bioluminescent Swim tour, we made a quick stop in Ponce to explore the iconic firehouse. And there, as if by fate, I caught sight of a silhouette I would recognize anywhere—the one and only , our eternal and Puerto Rican Queen.

To say I was stunned is an understatement. Gathering my courage, I mentioned our tours to one of her companions, and before I could finish, she took me to Dayanara, and she graciously invited me over to chat. Her warmth, kindness, and humility were captivating—and, to my amazement, she even suggested we take a selfie!

31 years ago, I watched an angel crowned as 1993, and today, just a day after my birthday, I received the gift of meeting her in person, and it was surreal. Buy what moved me most wasn’t just her beauty, but her genuine kindness and humility as she greeted everyone around her with such grace.

We talked about our tours and I can only hope to one day share some of the natural wonders she so proudly represents with her and her family, showcasing the magic of our island through the eyes of Bucketlist Tours.

Here’s to those rare, serendipitous moments that remind us how small and connected the world truly is. Thank you, Dayanara, for being a true ambassador of Puerto Rican beauty and spirit. It would be pleasure and an honor to welcome you on one of our tours someday!
