Christians of Palestine

Christians of Palestine God Bless Palestine! Christianity has a long history in the land of the Holy One.

Palestine was once a Christian country and there has been a continuous Christian presence there since the time of Jesus. The Roman province of Palestine was transformed into a Christian country with Jerusalem its glittering metropolis. Under Byzantine rule, Palestine not only attained spiritual pre-eminence in the Christian world, but also reached a level of material prosperity and population dens

Significantly, Graham’s apparent disregard for the challenges faced by Palestinian Christians, who according to Christian doctrine do not fall under the category of enemies, raises concerns about the consistency of his genuine care and support for all individuals affected by the conflict.
The absence of advocacy for specific prayers for Palestinian Christians, especially those sharing the same church community, is unsettling and prompts inquiries into the depth of his compassion. Was there even any consideration for their emotions, pain and suffering?

A Palestinian Christian sees a contradiction between Franklin Graham’s responses to the war in Gaza and church blessings of same-sex couples.

The loss of Christmas mass, liturgies and services in Gaza’s four churches – the Orthodox, Catholic, Episcopal and Baptist – is one more example of the profound impact of Israeli occupation on cultural and religious practices. But silenced church bells are not merely a Palestinian tragedy; it’s a sad chapter in the entire Christian world’s collective history.

“We, the Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem, call upon our congregations to stand strong with those facing this year by foregoing any unnecessarily festive activities. We also invite the faithful to advocate, pray and contribute generously as they are able for the relief of the vict...

The Christian world must scrutinize its collective conscience and confront whether silence and political correctness eclipse its responsibility to address injustice. This is a resounding call to action, urging the Christian world to bridge the gap between faith and practice and stand resolutely with the oppressed, even if it means challenging those in power. By doing so, the Christian world can authentically embody the revolutionary stance of Jesus, fervently advocating for justice, love, and compassion for all.

The ongoing war in Gaza transcends mere geopolitical struggles—it marks a defining moment in Christian history, demanding an unwavering collective response to its heart-wrenching toll.

Reflecting on the sad Christmases in Gaza and Kyiv urges us to examine the influence of media narratives critically and question the effectiveness of international interventions. Personal stories from individuals in these war-torn regions can bring the human experience to the forefront, transcending borders and binding us in a shared quest for peace.

Celebrating Christmas and winter holidays could lead us to forget that there is no peace on earth yet. Conflicts are quite heavy, both in Ukraine and in Palestine-Israel. Jack Nassar, a Palestinian Christian, urges his European brothers and sisters to reflect on this reality from his Middle Eastern....

The term “genocide” may evoke images of mass killings, but it also encompasses the systematic destruction of a culture, religion, and way of life.
In Gaza, the Christian population is experiencing all of that. The Israeli occupation’s policies and actions have created an atmosphere of fear, oppression, apartheid, bloodshed, and despair, leading to a steady killing and exodus of Christians from their ancestral homeland.

Protecting religious minorities is not just a moral imperative; it is the safeguarding of a unique cultural and historical mosaic that defines our common humanity
