We are making it a habit to visit some lesser known (yes, exactly Off the Beaten Line !) cave destination every year. It's time to start thinking about 2019.
All options are open. All work / logistics still to be done. Nothing is impossible !

We would like to put together a fun team of GUE cave divers who would like to join the 2019 Off the Beaten Line expedition. This is your invitation 😀

SPE (SPE - Sociedade Portuguesa de Espeleologia) has been exploring and studying the caves in the Estremanho Karst Massif (Project Baseline : EKM) for over 70 years. There are some really amazing and unique caves to be explored here; perhaps another Off The Beaten Line expedition coming up ... :)

GUE divers from Portugal (Ricardo), Spain (Belen, Bruno, Guaica), Belgium (Geert, Jonas) and Norway (Nora) teamed up in the Estremanho Karst Massif in Portugal, for some Off the Beaten Line cave diving.
OC, RB80 and JJ teams worked together to survey, collect data loggers, clean and fix lines, explore new passages, descend down 80m shafts, photo & video, and plan new trips in the near future. The results are being delivered to SPE - Sociedade Portuguesa de Espeleologia who manages a 70 year long cave exploration and research effort in the region.
