There’s something quietly remarkable about the storks of the Algarve.
While many associate this southern region of Portugal with beaches and sunshine, it’s also home to one of nature’s most fascinating adaptations. White storks here have developed a rare behavior: instead of nesting inland, they build their nests on sea cliffs—sometimes perched dramatically above crashing Atlantic waves.
