Burgau is one of those places we often come back to 💙
It's a former fishing village based around a beautiful bay in the West Algarve. Unlike the busier resort towns, Burgau keeps things more on the low-key and laid back side of things. You’ll find yourself wandering through a labyrinth of narrow, whitewashed alleys that all spill out onto an impressive sandy cove. In those alleys, there's some great local bars, coffee shops, and even some restaurants.
Head up along the cliffs, and you'll be able to walk to Praia da Luz, and Salema, and even discover some secret beaches! Just please don't call it the 'Portuguese Santorini', it deserves more than that!
