Sadly we had to say goodbye to our beloved Mango today. After 7 weeks at the Veterinarian and it being come and go we decided he needed to be back at his paradise, The Quinta. The second day back he gave us hope, the shine was back in his eyes. But from yesterday to today he became very weak and cold and Elsa had the difficult task of taking him for his last vet visit. He spend his last week At the Quinta getting love from the guests and loving care from Elsa and Sr. Paolo. He will be very much missed. RIP Sweet Mango.

I always look forward to visiting this little tea factory, Cha Porto Formoso. Its historical, peaceful and so pretty, and no huge crowds.

When I go into Ponta Delgada this is my favorite Street, Avenida Gaspar Frutuoso, which ends at the Lovers Park /Jardim dos Namorados. There's just such a nice feeling driving down this Avenue. Has anyone else experienced it?

Rebeira Quente Beach is ready for summer beach lovers. Formed by a stretch of sand in a bay where there are several submarine hydrothermal vents, that make the seawater warm. Thus known as the warmest beach in Sao Miguel.

Formada por uma faixa de areia em uma baía onde existem diversas fontes hidrotermais submarinas, que aquecem a água do mar. Por isso, é conhecida como a praia mais quente de São Miguel.

The BEFORE and AFTER pictures of our recovered garden bed, courtesy of João Jardim Feliz.
Rain prevented them from finishing it last time so he came back on this National Holiday of Corpo de Deus to finish and it looks amazing. I'm going to call it our Dutch Garden because that is where all the bulbs our recent Dutch guest brought are planted 🙂
