What a fantastic day!
We had the pleasure of welcoming Elizabeth, from the beautiful Setúbal region, and her wonderful friend Janeen, visiting us all the way from Oregon, USA — along with the true star of the day: Toby, their adorable and adventurous dog! 🐶

Together, we explored historic neighborhoods, stunning viewpoints, and hidden corners — with Toby happily soaking up the views and the attention wherever we stopped!

Did you know that Porto was the first city in the Iberian Peninsula to have electric trams?

The journey began in 1872 with horse-drawn trams — and by 1895, the rattle of the electric tram became a familiar sound on the cobbled streets of Porto. Through the 20th century, trams connected the city from the riverbanks to the seaside, becoming part of its soul.

Though most of the original network faded with time, a few classic lines still run today — vintage wooden trams rolling along the Douro, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the city’s past.
