🇵🇹 Cromo RARO🔥 Baleia Piloto de Barbatana Curta ( 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙝𝙮𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙨). Nem sabemos por onde começar. Em Setembro de 2024, tivemos um dos melhores avistamentos das nossas vidas. Nunca pensámos que se tornaria a repetir um ano mais tarde. Depois de dias difíceis em que os nossos anfitriões (golfinhos comuns de bico curto) tinham estado escassos, eis que tudo muda 💪🏼 o nosso quintal a dar cartas como ninguém

RARE Chrome🔥 Short-finned Pilot Whale ( 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙧𝙝𝙮𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙪𝙨). We don’t even know where to begin. In September 2024, we had one of the best sightings of our lives. We never thought it would happen again a year later. After a difficult few days in which our hosts (short-beaked common dolphins) had been scarce, everything changed 💪🏼 our backyard giving it away like nobody’s business 😎

🇵🇹 Alcatraz ou Ganso Patola (𝑀𝑜𝑟𝑢𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑛𝑢𝑠)

A maior e mais abundante ave marinha presente nas nossas águas. Nidificam no Atlântico Norte e Canadá. Conhecidos pelos seus voos picados em direção ao fundo do mar, estas aves conseguem atingir profundidades até aos 40 metros, alimentando-se de cardumes pelágicos de sardinha, cavala e carapau. Formam casais duradouros que protegem a sua cria, principalmente até às 14 semanas, quando estão prontos para realizar o seu primeiro voo. Frequentemente observamos estas aves nos nossos passeios. Mas a época de maior abundância é de Outubro a Março onde podem ser avistados centenas de indivíduos numa só observação.

🇬🇧Northern Gannet (𝑀𝑜𝑟𝑢𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑛𝑢𝑠)

The largest and most abundant seabird present in our waters. They nest in the North Atlantic and Canada. Known for their choppy flights towards the seabed, these birds can reach depths of up to 40 metres, feeding on pelagic shoals of sardines, mackerel and horse mackerel. They form long-lasting pairs that protect their chick, especially until they are 14 weeks old, when they are ready to take their first flight. We often see these birds on our tours. But the most abundant season is from October to March, when hundreds of individuals can be spotted in a single observation.

Os nossos ecossistemas costeiros são essenciais para animais que aqui residem e para aqueles que estão apenas de passagem. Proteger é pensar no futuro. Um futuro onde estes animais se sintam seguros, com disponibilidade de alimento, e em harmonia com a nossa espécie.

𝑫𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒔, Golfinho Comum de Bico Curto, o cetáceo mais abundante do Parque Marinho Professor Luiz Saldanha e águas circundantes. Um dos mais interativos e curiosos. A sua interação preferida, é sem dúvida, nadar à proa das embarcações, momento que aproveita para estreitar laços com os membros da sua família.

🇵🇹 Gaivota argêntea ou de patas amarelas e o seu ninho, 𝑳𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒔 🪶Todas as vidas importam. Esta espécie é uma das várias espécies de gaivotas presentes na costa portuguesa. “Então mas não são todas iguais?” A resposta é não 😅 as gaivotas à semelhança dos pombos, são espécies a quem as suas casas foram roubadas por nós. Infelizmente são seres muito subestimados, maltratados e ignorados.Mas por serem animais extremamente resilientes e inteligentes continuam a prosperar numa vasta distribuição geográfica. Esperamos que estes dois pequeninos vivam uma vida descansada aqui pelas águas e escarpas do .

🇬🇧What a show 🤩 a large pod of bottlenose dolphins (around 60) came to us to enjoy a beautiful bow riding from our boat. They had a lot of calves and juveniles and looked pretty good in terms of body conditions. These guys are thriving in the no doubt about it.

🇵🇹 Que espetáculo de avistamento 🤩 um grande grupo de golfinhos roazes (cerca de 60) veio até nós para desfrutar a surfada na proa do nosso barco. Tinham muitas crias e juvenis e pareciam bastante bem em termos de condições corporais. Esta família está a prosperar no , sem dúvida.

Once again an amazing encounter with these beautiful creatures. Iberian Orca, 𝑂𝑟𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑠 𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑎. A pod of 8 orcas belonging to the identified communities of Iberian Orcas were hunting and didn’t engage in any kind of interaction with our boat. They were swimming peacefully around us. They were spotted in front of coming from the south of Portugal and heading up north.
