This historic Hotel in Alcacer do Sal has 35 rooms, including 2 suites. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, air conditioning/heating, minibar, bathrobes, hairdryer, safe, telephone, cable TV and internet access.

URGENT IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PASSENGERS DEPARTING FROM FARO AIRPORT THIS WEEKEND COVID-19 TESTS

UPDATE: MONDAY 7TH JUNE 2021

With the additional resources deployed at the airport and reduced demand today regarding departures, there is less pressure on the testing centres there. There are still some queues but the situation is manageable.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SUNDAY 6TH JUNE 2021

Firstly we thank you for sharing this post and helping fellow passengers with information on labs which are open for testing.

This collective effort resulted in reducing the considerable pressure on the airport although there were still long queues. Last night SCP spoke with the Airport authority ANA and Turismo do Algarve. Additional mobile test centres have been established at the airport to conduct urgent Antigen rapid ests (required for UK travel) for those who do not have a test to ensure their departure.

Nevertheless the advice remains to obtain the negative test before arrival at the airport remains.

PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM (PLF)

It has been brought to our attention that yesterday some delays were caused and people refused boarding, because they had not completed the PLF which is a mandatory requirement by the UK Gov for UK travel. This needs to be completed on-line. If you have difficulties concerning the use of IT then ask for assistance such as from the hotel where you maybe staying or others. The download is here:

ANA Faro airport authority have just contacted Safe Communities Portugal with the following important message for departing passengers from the airport this weekend 5th/6th June 2021.

Except for those who have already made and have a confirmed appointment for an Antigen rapid test (required to board your flight to the UK) at the SYNLAB test centre at the airport, ALL OTHER departing passengers should obtain their TEST with negative result elsewhere BEFORE arrival at the airport.

The reason for this is that this Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June there will be well over 20,000 departures (with nearly 100 departure flights on Saturday alone) and there will be insufficient capacity should a large number of people require testing at the testing centre just prior to departure

ANA EMPHASISE IF YOU ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT WITH NO APPOINTMENT OR WITHOUT NEGATIVE TEST RESULT YOU RUN THE RISK OF YOUR FLIGHT LEAVING WITHOUT YOU.
