We have just completed another wonderful 3-day cycle tour through the mystical Alentejo of rural Portugal. The wind and a little rain didn’t deter us; instead, the beautiful country roads embraced our journey.

We are happy to be hitting the road again to the Alentejo, Portugal! Tomorrow, we welcome a wonderful group of ten people arriving from South Africa. For the next week, we will be touring the heartland of rural Portugal.

The weather forecast looks blissful, with warm temperatures and clear skies. In this photo, I’m standing at the lavadouro público (public washhouse) in the old town of Vera Cruz, where townspeople traditionally washed their clothes. This charming town also inspired the name of our cycling company.

We hope to see you on one of our tours soon—it’s the best escape ever!
