100 years of timeless hospitality at The St. Regis Washington, D.C.

Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of ARTIC, Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square celebrated its official opening following an extensive renovation and transformation of the property.

The opening brought together ARTIC and IHG Hotels & Resorts to celebrate the next chapter of their partnership and the hotel’s debut under the Crowne Plaza brand.

A significant milestone as the property begins its new journey in the heart of Manhattan.

Ahead of the September 24 official opening of Crowne Plaza Manhattan Times Square, H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of ARTIC, together with Tarek M El Sayed, Managing Director and CEO, and Sheikh Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Board Member, welcomed members of the IHG Hotels & Resorts Board and executive leadership team to the newly transformed property.

The IHG delegation included Deanna Oppenheimer, Non-Executive Chair; Elie Maalouf, Chief Executive Officer; Jolyon Bulley, Chief Executive Officer, Americas; Graham Allan, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director; and Non-Executive Directors Arthur de Haast, Duriya Farooqui, Byron Grote, Angie Risley, Sharon Rothstein and Nicholas Cadbury.

Connecting with our teams, partners, and communities across the United States.

During a recent visit to ARTIC’s U.S. hospitality portfolio, Managing Director & CEO Tarek M. El Sayed met with hotel associates and leadership teams across New York, Chicago, Miami, Washington D.C., and Bal Harbour.

The visit included stops at Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago, W Miami, The St. Regis Washington, D.C., and The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, recognizing teams on the ground and engaging in meaningful discussions on performance and growth.

The visit also included engagements with Marriott International leadership and Bal Harbour Village officials, including the Mayor, reflecting ARTIC’s continued commitment to strong partnerships and long-term value creation.
