DJ / The Afar people are of the largest ethnic groups in Djibouti. Culturally dominant in the regions they inhabit, these semi nomadic communities spread across an area of unforgiving climate conditions in the Danakil desert.

I first met Afar populations in the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia, then in southern Eritrea and now in Djibouti. I’ve seen their lives more deeply this time, visited villages and understood how they’ve adapted to their environment, what they do to cope and what are their hopes for the future.

Macrobia Expeditions employs and works directly either Afar guides and drivers who know the desert like the palm of their hands, holding connections in a vast network of settlements and working together to benefit the greater good of their communities.

Are you afraid of heights? Then don't go to Sixty, a sky high bar in the Moscow City. You'll go up a fu***ng fast art-deco elevator to the top of the Federation Tower and be hosted by an array of nice people to a bench at the bar or a table. It is fine for just a sip, since the main draw is the view. What a damn nice view! Your adrenaline won't let you feel a slight chill when they pop open the gigantic windows for the perfect photos.

No bu****it, just go.

Don't stress out in the Helsinki freeze. It's cometimes hard to put up with more than 5 fu***ng minutes in the Market Square because of the cold, but the indoor market just off of it is all you need. Warm and cosy, massive variety for such a small market hall. The soup kitchen and the Story / Vanha Kauppahalli bar offer damn filling and healthy food options. Plus walk around for some very tempting fresh local produce. I'm starting to think Helsinki is the healthy food capital of the northern fu***ng hemisphere.

No bu****it, just go.
