We've compiled a list of the essentials you might need on your journey to the island of the gods.

So let's go:

1. Sunscreen. Even if it seems that there is no sun and the weather is cloudy, there is still a huge chance of burning out. Sunscreen for the body SPF at least 30, for the face - 50 will be indispensable during rest.
2. Even in the case of regular application of sunscreen, there will be at least one time when the burn manifests itself. In this case, Panthenol is the very remedy that will help you quickly get rid of unpleasant sensations after the active influence of the sun on the skin.
3. Headwear and sunglasses. Seemingly elementary things, the importance of which should not be forgotten. We remind you that in Indonesia the sun is much more active than in Europe, take care of yourself!
4. Indonesian cuisine - a variety of spices in one dish. Sometimes locals flirt with hot chili peppers, the abundance of which can backfire. It is advisable to have medicines from poisoning, etc. in the first-aid kit (it can happen anywhere) in order to protect yourself.
5. Currency and bank cards. Any exchanger on the islands of Bali and Flores will exchange US dollars (strictly new bills) and euros. It is important to take into account that exchangers are authorized (BMC) and commission-free. It is not always possible to pay with bank cards, in chain stores (circle K, Alfamart, Indomaret, etc.), the amount of payment by card should be from 50 thousand rupees (~ 300 rubles), so we recommend that you have both cash and a card with you.
6. Personal hygiene. Daily hygiene products such as toothpaste, shampoos, etc. are sold at every turn, so you don't have to carry with you what you can buy locally at the same price. An exception is personal hygiene products for girls. What is used in Europe is not always found in Indonesia.
7. Spray mosquito. We consider it necessary to warn that Ukrainian-made insect sprays do not work in the tropics. The best option would be to buy a similar spray locally if the need arises.
8. Sports shoes. In the second part of the program, we will have several ascents to the hills, comfortable shoes/sneakers will be very useful.
