Part 2: The morning after reaching the high camp, we awoke to mind-blowing colors. I remember running around not knowing what to do or where to look.

The clouds+smoke created some magical views. Then, after breakfast, while we were packing up, mountain goats emerged. So again, we grabbed our cameras and played the role of paparazzi.

Wildlife is nice. Wildlife with insane backdrops are the pinnacle and what you hope for on every hike.

We took so many photos on this trip that when we ran into a bear and a cub on the way down 2/3s of our cameras were dead. 😬🫠 thankful, we’ve got the memories.

A flash back to 2022 in north cascades national park with & . Pretty sure we set the world record for slowest ascent due to all the photos and the bear. This is Part 1. P2 coming tomorrow.

It was 24 hours of pure joy, bonding, crazy views, and tons of memories. It was also my last major backpacking trip before I started chemo and my bone marrow transplant a few months later.

Memories from the trail like this one helped get me through some crappy months.

Just counting down the months until im back here. 👀
