بئرِ غرس کی تاریخ اور اہمیت حضور ﷺ کا پسندیدہ کنواں: نبی کریم ﷺ اس کنوئیں کا پانی بہت پسند فرماتے تھے۔ آپ ﷺ اکثر اس کا میٹھا اور لذیذ پانی نوش فرماتے اور اس سے وضو بھی کیا کرتے تھےوصیتِ مبارکہ (غسلِ نبوی): اس کنوئیں کی سب سے بڑی فضیلت یہ ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے اپنی رحلت سے قبل حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو وصیت فرمائی تھی کہ: "جب میں وفات پا جاؤں، تو مجھے میرے کنوئیں یعنی بئرِ غرس کے سات مشکیزوں سے غسل دینا"۔ آپ ﷺ کی اس وصیت پر عمل کرتے ہوئے آپ ﷺ کو اسی کنوئیں کے پانی سے غسل دیا گیا تھا
