Although the whole island boasts beautiful beaches, the western part of Socotra is just unbelievable. The beaches near the Ditwah Lagoon and the Shoab Beach have a rare beauty, and more often than not they can be enjoyed with no or very few tourists.

The clear waters, the colors of the sand, and the sea are a marvel of nature and in all our itineraries there is obviously space for these gems.

Dragon Blood trees, Cucumber trees, and Bottle trees are only some of the typical flora that we can find on this plateau, but what always strikes you the most are the landscapes that surround you while you admire the natural heritage of Socotra.

Mountains, canyons, rivers, and natural swimming pools are here, waiting to be discovered. In 2008 Socotra was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, and when you see it with your own eyes it's easy to understand why.

When you reach Socotra, the first thing that comes to your mind is: "Have we landed on the right island ?"

The impact of the island is very peculiar, you have this harsh mountain massif in the background and you can't see any famous Dragon Blood trees or the beautiful sea. You are alone in front of a small building saying "Socotra airport".

But then your trip starts, you drive towards the eastern part of the island and you begin to cross very different beautiful scenery: green hills, karstic mountains, tall white dunes, and wonderful windy beaches. Not forgetting the beautiful villages that you encounter on the road! Very small and rural, with children coming out of nowhere to greet you. 🤩
