Many of us experience a serious mood change when winter comes. In Sweden, a few percent of the population even suffers from a severe and recurrent depressive disorder called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
It is believed to be caused by a lack of light, which affects levels of hormones such as serotonin and melatonin. These hormones influence your mood, sleep, and appetite.
Westside Innovation is trying to help people fight this depression. We want to uplift people´s mood in our own way, using light, colour, art, and playfulness.
