Have you thought about trying to live zero-waste 🚯? We have been trying for a while now, and although it hasn't been perfect, we have definitely noticed some improvements along the way, like completely eliminating paper towels from our kitchen.

How about traveling zero waste? This article (https://www.lonelyplanet.com/articles/guide-to-zero-waste-travel) in Lonely Planet has some great tips, like visiting destinations committed to reducing waste, using companies that try to minimize their impact, and packing a zero-waste kit containing alternatives to plastic bottles, coffee cups ☕, plastic bags, and straws.

Our favorite quote from the article: ‘Zero-waste travel is all about effort, not perfection,’ - Anita Vandyke. Happy zero waste travels!

Sustainability advocate Anita Vandyke explains how travellers can join the push to reduce human impact on the planet.

Finally a sunny weekend in Stockholm 🌞! We celebrated by taking a hike in the lovely Hagaparken, and finding this artichoke sandwich at a cafe in Bergianska trädgården along the way was one of the highlights of the hike. No need to travel far, sometimes the best experiences are right at your doorstep!

Do you love being out in nature and seeing wildlife in their natural habitat? We sure do!

Many of us try to avoid activites that we think could harm animals, like going to the circus with animal shows or riding elephants. Sadly, it seems that some unethical organizations are taking advantage of this.

There's a place called "Elephant EcoValley" in Chiang Mai, Thailand where elephants that are normally chained and trained to perform tricks for tourists are placed in a grassy field, giving the impression that it is an ethical establishment, when it fact it is not!

You can read more about this, and get more information about wildlife tourism in an article from National Geographic called "Suffering unseen: The dark truth behind wildlife tourism". Some of the stories just broke our hearts. During our holidays this Christmas season, let's do our best to avoid captive wild animal encounters and prevent any more animals from suffering needlessly.

The Story of Stuff - thought-provoking, enlightening and very disturbing, it shows the true cost of our stuff, which is often hidden in externalized costs that others have to bear. This video is 10 years old, and we have just recently heard of it! Will definitely think twice about acquiring any stuff in the future! Thank you The Story of Stuff Project for all your effort in bringing such an important issue to light! Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GorqroigqM&t=24s
