In 2010, I quit my 9-5 to travel the world. I'm here to inspire you to create a life you’ll love. I was wrong!

A Girl Who Travels is here to inspire you to live a happier and more fulfilled life through travel. Like many of you, I was brought up to believe that going to university, getting a full-time job, getting married and having kids was the only way to living a happy life. I've realised that the "one size fits all" approach doesn't work for everyone and so, instead of following somebody else's dream,

I decided to follow my own. Now a digital nomad and a self-diagnosed travel addict with 30+ countries across 3 continents under my belt, I hope to inspire you to travel more and help you follow YOUR dream!

Venice might’ve been photographed ten times over but when you learn to look past the crowds and tourist traps, you’ll discover a city filled with magic, secret gardens, and charming stories hidden alongside its 150 canals. ⁣
⁣
This photo was taken by the famous Grand Canal but I was very lucky to stay at , in much less touristy Sestiere di Santa Croce, the most traditionally Venetian part of the city. Here, time-worn palazzos and some of the city’s most beautiful churches reign the streets, while much quieter canals, cross-crossed by tiny bridges, are a perfect place for a relaxing aperitivo. Santa Croce Boutique Hotel is a perfect reflection of the area, filled with history and quiet charm. ⁣

Believe in magic 💫✨⁣
Even though it’s really touristy, Tower Bridge is still one of my favourite spots in town. I love coming to The Ivy just round the corner, and sitting there till late evening, writing. Strolling through the bridge at dusk is magical; the area feels so much calmer, the air is somehow softer and London glisters in the background so prettily ✨

Hitting the slopes (or, at the very least, sitting on the slopes😂) with a few weeks back! I miss the perfectly blue skies and snow squeaking under my feet 🌨❄️

Just a week ago I was feeling tired, uninspired and deflated.. So glad I treated myself to a little gateaway to my happy place (although, with flights to Stockholm cheaper than a 2 course meal in London, I don’t even know if a flight ticket counts as a treat😂).
