Some snaps from last week’s hike “STF Treparksmöte with guide” where our guide Christian, together with our trainee Agnes, took ten guests to the crossing of three of the national parks of Laponia: Sarek, Padjelanta and Stora Sjöfallet🗺️

Some really hot hiking days required several cooling dips in the clear mountain waters🧊
The tour started in Ritsem with boat to Akka cabins, continued to Gisuris, Kutjaure and Vaisaluokta. In west Sami settlement of Kutjaure Lars Anders and Maria offered the group a nice sauna🧖‍♀️

The hike ended with a visit at and then a really nice dinner at .

Leaving this week richer in memories and both nature and cultural experiences. Thank you all!😊

We’re experiencing a real heat wave in Sweden right now. In Laponia we’ve had several days with up to +30 deg C!
Keep in mind that due to this, there is a fire ban in Norrbotten⚠️🔥❌

Our tips while being out in these conditions:
💦 stay hydrated! Drink and eat both salt and sugar
🧊 cool down by using water and shadow
☀️ use SPF
🧢 cover your head with a hat/cap (tip: soak in water!)
🌲 can you plan an alternative route in more shadow?
🕝 avoid being out during the hottest hours

What a week! Some snaps from the past week’s tour, “A taste of Sarek” - amazing weather, a few mosquito bites (part of the deal!), stunning views, great food, and a couple of refreshing swims!

We ended the tour at for a nice dinner and sauna 🧖‍♀️

In a week we'll be out on our "A taste of Sarek National Park" tour on the Kings Trail. This is a perfect tour for you who are new to backcountry camping. During these days, you will, among other things, learn about setting up camp, crossing rivers and navigating.
On the way we also take an off-trail to Skierffe, to look down on the stunning Rapa valley in Sarek.

This is m/s Langas transporting our kayaks over to Saltoluokta!

If you visit the mountain station of STF Saltoluokta, you will have the oppurtunity to rent kayaks from us. So if you have a couple of hours or a day were you feel like discover the lake Langas and see the mountain surroundings your are more than welcome to ask at the mountain station and they will help you!

Do you dream of a canoetrip in the north of Sweden? Or maybe to move effortless in a kayak over still waters?

We do all kind of outdoor support both winter and summer, and one of the most popular is our canoe/kayak support during summer. If you rent a canoe or kayak at our place (only in Jokkmokk) we can also help with support to the lake you had in mind, or give you our best tip of where to go exploring in the area. We drop you of and pick you up, you choose the places and dates!
Silent forrests, intriguing wildlife and beautiful waters awaits you just north of the arctic circle this summer.

Summer is coming in the mountains, slowly but surerly!

Soon everything will be all green and flowers. It might be summer i the rest of Sweden, but still there are very much snow higher up in the mountains and the ground is very wet - keep that in mind if you are planning an early hike!

Are you longing for some time in the woods?

Join us on our hike in Muddus national park, the 4-7th or the 25-28th of September!

When summer have had its say, the leaves starts to shift and the mornings are cold and clear – that is when we head out into the vast, silent forrest of Muddus.
To hike, sleep in cosy huts heated by fire and see mighty waterfalls. Maybe a reset after summer, a restart before fall or just some time to breathe and reflect? You decide.
We walk in a nice pace, eat well cooked meals togheter in the evenings and make sure you feel like you have had a proper forrest bath before heading home!

Last week we were in Abisko to participate in NOLS Wilderness advanced first aid course, performed by Crossing Latitudes.

For five days we did practical scenarios and studied theoretical medicine in our beloved mountain environment. This kind of course is a must if you are working in remote areas, as we do, since it could make all the difference if something goes wrong or someone falls ill. And it is not enough to do it once - every other year we do it again to freshen up our wilderness medicine skills and to keep our certificate. It is so intense and so rewarding, and also fun to meet up with the instructors Lena and Roope and other participants!

Sarek Ski Expedition – 14-22nd of March
Our most iconic ski tour in one of the most magnificent national park in Sweden – Sarek. To ski through Sarek wintertime is on many peoples bucketlist, for a reason! You get to challenge yourself, enjoy and endure the everchanging weather and get to experince some of the most beautiful nature we got in Sweden. This tour is for those who have slept several nights in tents before, are use to skiing long days and are ready for an epic winter adventure.

NEW TOUR! Explorer Ski Expedition – 24th of March-1st of April
We are so excited to share our newest tour, the Explorer Ski Expedition! This is the tour to join if you want to find new routes through Sarek and Padjelanta national parks and let the weather and our lust decide where to go! This tour will look different every year. 2026 we will explore the area along the border between Swedens two largest and wildest national parks, Sarek and Padjelanta. Most nights we will stay in tents, but we can also occasionally drop into a hut. Explorer Ski Expedition is the perfect tour for our most experienced guests, who wants to challenge themselves and enjoy a true adventure.

Across Padjelanta National park – 28th of March- 5th of April
If you want to experience a beautiful, vast mountain landscape wher few people go – this tour is for you! To ski through Padjelanta national park is to enjoy long days of skiing, sleep comfortable in huts and learn more about the Sami culture in the area. To participate on this tour you need to be a fairly good skier and be ready to pull a pulka!
