Yo, we're celebrating our 60th year independence on August 9. The SG60 container display is made up of 271 containers, and assembled over 32 hours.

In addition to rising costs in raw materials and difficulties in hiring help, many of our older hawker heroes struggle with succession so it's really heartening to see this young gentleman step up to the plate (literally) and put out a good plate of char kway teow. ❤️

After hosting so many corporate groups, families, couples and friend groups, I'm finally hosting a family with Kiddos again 😍😍😍

Such a wonderful family - mom and dad are such great sports wanting to try everything and listen to all the stories of our hawker heroes! The boys are so incredibly patient with our heat and humidity, milo dinosaur and old school snacks are the way to their hearts. I told them to prep for a chapteh rematch 😆!

Bestie dug up news articles of us taking long walkies as teenagers 🙋🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️

The year was 1996, we walked through mangroves, sewers, old empty neighborhoods pending development, Pasir Ris with its mini canyons of dirt before the flats took over, we walked the entire stretch of TPE before it was opened to vehicles, past terminal 3 when it was still reclaimed land.

I think I reached home, crashed and slept for a week after 🤪 Good times
