to a few days ago, where I conducted a private tour for Mitch, who came all the way from USA and is intrigued by the diversity of our local culture and the uniqueness of the nation, being an island state built on a mix of modernity and traditions.

So I decided to turn up the itinerary by taking him on a new itinerary that I created for him, focussing more on urban planning, heritage and culture. I was so glad to not only be able to take a risk and do something a little different, but also show him a side of Singapore that he do not really get to see, including seeing my childhood neighbourhood, Jalan Besar, and to be able to discuss our different upbringing and cultures in depth.

Thank you for taking a chance on me and for entrusting me! Have a safe trip back home and see you again soon!

Happy National Day!

Here’s wishing this island nation Happy 60th Birthday and here’s wishing all my fellow Singaporeans a Happy National Day! May this nation progresses well and strive towards a better, brighter and more inclusive future, for all citizens, regardless of race, language or religion.

Yesterday’s heat was ridiculous but it did not stop these 2 lovely souls from walking along with me, as I take them on a journey through Singapore history and the LGBTQ+ history in Singapore.

It was lovely to have a more intimate session and to be able to showcase a side of Singapore that is not heavily advertise in the local narrative.

Especially in , I believe it’s also great to understand what being Singaporean is and how the local LGBTQ+ community can be seen as a vital part of the building of this nation.

to my first corporate booking of my LGBTQ+ tour of the month, right on the last day of Pride month a few days ago.

It was the first time I had to present a little history of Singapore and its LGBTQ history in an office environment. I have to say that Opella’s office concept was indeed quite an engaging one.

It was nice to be able to showcase a bit of LGBTQ+ history to the staff of Opella, who were curious about the community and allyship.

It was also great to know that the diversity within the group, them being from different parts of Asia, showcase how much each nation has progressed and how much work we have left.

Pride, after all, is essentially a protest and it is important to remember that we are all not free, until we are all free.

Thank you to the Opella team for entrusting me in this and special thanks to Anama for assisting with the arrangement. It was indeed great working with the team and I hope to engage further in the future!

2nd LGBTQ+ tour for Pride Month completed!

It was an extremely hot day but I am so grateful that these beautiful souls managed to brave it out the sun to find out more about the LGBTQ+ history of Singapore.

This curious group kept challenging and asking questions and I’m grateful for this, as it keeps me thinking more about different possibilities and keeps me wanting to learn more at the same time!

Healthy discussions are always a great way in helping understand the world better and I believe this will help not only expand my horizons, but my guests’.

First LGBTQ+ Tour for Pride Month 2025 done!

A small and intimate group graced an important month for the LGBTQ+ community. With the exclusion of DEI in many organisations and the lack of corporate visibility when it comes to Pride, the importance of me conducting this tour is even stronger, as we cannot allow the erasure of stories, lived experiences and facts of minorities in general.

Thank you to this lovely group for coming on board this tour (as part of Pink Fest ‘s lineup)! Hope all of you enjoyed yourselves!

Restarted my LGBTQ+ tour after a short hiatus and was glad to have met a lovely bunch of people (only one shown due to privacy reasons).

Despite the crazy heavy rain that blessed us halfway through the tour, we still managed to walk a fair bit and I still managed to show them a different side of Singapore.

I am grateful for their support and for the fun that I had during this tour. Thank you to all who came and hope to see all of you soon somehow! Special thanks to Playground for being the host of the end of my tour!

I was blessed with extremely nice sunny weather on my first tour of 2025 last Saturday. It was quite extreme, but that did not deter these lovely people from walking about 3 hours with me under the sun, learning things about Singapore that they did not notice or realise.

It was really nice to connect and understand from the perspective of South Americans (and Russian!) and to be able to learn something new at the same time! The questions that came in were thought-provoking and essential for both parties and I am grateful for the opportunity and the questions.
