Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Fusion 360 virtual zoom workshop on 3rd January 2pm to 4pm.

Fusion 360 is an integrated Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software that combines organic shapes modelling, mechanical design, and manufacturing into a comprehensive package. By unifying design, engineering, and manufacturing into a single platform, Fusion 360 allows users to design products swiftly and easily.

Participants will be shown how to create 2D shapes, 3D objects, 3D modelling tools, assemblies, joints, movements, etc. Participants will also be shown step-by-step guide to design a 3D Pokemon Ball.

SolidWorks is a solid modeling computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering computer program published by Dassault Systèmes, that runs primarily on Microsoft Windows. The topics covered for this workshop includes, sketching, part modelling and assembly.

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Metal 3D Printing Technologies virtual zoom workshop on 28th December 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

We will be inviting our guest speaker Wang Chengcheng, a senior PHD graduate from NTU to give an introduction about Metal 3D Printing Technologies. Metal 3D Printing is a laser-based technology that uses powdered metals. Similar to Laser Sintering, a high-powered laser selectively binds together particles on the powder bed while the machine distributes even layers of metallic powder.

Participants will be introduced to selective laser melting, electron beam melting, directed energy deposition, binder jetting and different research areas in metal additive manufacturing.

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Fusion360 virtual zoom workshop on 28th December 5pm to 7pm.

Fusion 360 is an integrated Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software that combines organic shapes modelling, mechanical design, and manufacturing into a comprehensive package. By unifying design, engineering, and manufacturing into a single platform, Fusion 360 allows users to design products swiftly and easily.

Participants will be shown how to create a 3D rook chess piece with Fusion360 software and will be able to manage basic 3D modelling tasks after attending this workshop.

SQL is a domain-specific language used in programming and designed for managing data held in a relational database management system, or for stream processing in a relational data stream management system. Participants will be shown how to utilise SQL through the graphical interface of PgAdmin.

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Introduction to Computer Vision(OpenCV) virtual zoom workshop on 26th December 7pm-9pm.

OpenCV is a library of programming functions mainly aimed at real-time computer vision. Originally developed by Intel, it was later supported by Willow Garage then Itseez. The library is cross-platform and free for use under the open-source Apache 2 License.

Participants will be shown how to install OpenCV Python, do basic image processing tasks, and use basic functions for feature and object detection. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to explain file structures of images and videos, do simple image processing, and apply pre-trained model for feature/object detection.

Flask is a web application framework written in Python. A Web Application Framework represents a collection of libraries and modules that enable web application developers to write applications.

The topics covered includes,
• Introduction to web application

• HTTP Methods
• Quick intro to HTML
• Activity: Build a web app

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Arduino virtual zoom workshop on 19th December 1pm to 3pm.

Participants will be shown basic electronics and programming on Tinkercad. Tinkercad is a free-of-charge, online 3D modeling program that allows simulation of Arduino-based systems. Since it became available in 2011, it has become a popular platform for creating models for 3D printing as well as an entry-level introduction to constructive solid geometry in schools. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to wire and create a simple program for Arduino using Tinkercad circuits.

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our AutoCAD virtual zoom workshop on 16th December 1.30pm-3.30pm.

AutoCAD is computer-aided design (CAD) software that architects, engineers, and construction professionals rely on to create precise 2D and 3D drawings.

Participants will be introduced to AutoCAD’s interface, shown how to draw in 2D and 3D. At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to create basic shapes with specific dimensions and alter or add on features to their design.

Da Vinci 3D Printing and RoboMasters Society is pleased to announce that we will be holding our Blender virtual zoom workshop on 15th December 1pm-3pm.

Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software toolset used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, motion graphics, interactive 3D applications, virtual reality, and computer games.

The topics covered includes an overview of Blender, basic settings and shortcut keys, common functions and a guided figure modelling project in Blender.
